The Sleep Walking Giant

The sleeping giant has been awakened, but are we still
wiping the sleep from our eyes? Freedom makes us an easy
target. Are we willing to give up our freedom for security?
That's the easy way out. What we have to do is difficult,
but must be done.
Both Houses of Congress passed a bill being sent to the
President that plugs holes in U.S. borders and keeps track
of immigrants. I hope it is enforceable and not another
'look good law' played for politics.

We have to become self-sufficient. We can't continue to buy
oil from Iraq (how many of you knew that?) and the terrorist
supporting Saudis. We can't continue to buy products from a
country that uses that money to make missiles aimed at us.
We have to drill our own oil. We have to develop other
sources of energy.

The sleeping giant is sleep-walking. We are losing jobs and
US dollars from our borders. Are we securing every aspect of
our borders? The easy way is to ignore the problem or become
isolationists. The hard way is to wake up.
